Psychedelia Moving Poster

If you want to advertise to a great number of people, posters are a no brainer: they are simple, timeless, and get the job done. But what if you could make them even more eye-catching? More unforgettable? By adding animation to a poster, you can transform it into an experience and hold a viewer’s attention long after they have walked away from it.

I created this mesmerizing moving poster for a made-up museum exhibit on the Psychedelic Era, a period characterized by a revival of Art Nouveau with an added multicoloured hallucinatory layer. Here, I made use of the bright colours that were a staple of Psychedelic art and set my focus on capturing the fluidity of organic movement.

I executed this project in its entirety, including the ideation, research, storyboarding, sketching, illustrations and animation.

Please note that I am in no way affiliated with the Art Gallery of Toronto (AGO). This is a project created for educative purposes.
