Portraits Series

Taking a portrait is about so much more than the click of a button: it’s about immortalizing ephemerality and letting a person tell their story without uttering a single word.

I made this series as an exploration of facial expressions, capturing the minute changes that give a moment all of its meaning. While these three photographs may be similar in composition, their subjects’ facial expressions give each of these portraits a unique quality, from mysterious, to longing, to playful.
